Rose River Alpine National Park

The Rose River is located in the Alpine National Park Victoria, Australia. It flows from the northern slopes of the Mount Buffalo  joining with the Dandongadale River in remote national park territory.

While there is a huge number of Sambar deer in Victoria the areas in which you can legally hunt if you are a stalker range from national parks to most state forests.

Winter is best I think when the tracks are closed and the 4X4 thrashers and crazy hunters from Melbourne are more likely to be dealing with smashed avocado and poached eggs with dakka than hunting, and especially mid week.

While it was wet and below freezing even at modest 700 metre altitude it was beautiful and serene in the bush.

Japan - Tokyo summed up

Japan Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden

Just a few hundred metres off the hustle and bustle of Tokyo's Shinjuku shopping and tourist Mecca is the Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden. A very quite and beautiful garden where despite the 36+ C temperature was a calm and cooling contrast to the rest of the area.

Japan Tsukiji Fish Market

Tsukiji Fish Market is the largest fish market in the world but also has fruit and vegetables. Famous for its tuna auctions at the inner market 3:00 am - 6:00 am. The more food focused outer market is more aimed towards tourists.

My new hand made Santoku knives, a tall blade and rounded tip make it a versatile knife that is well suited to cutting meat, fish, or vegetables. It’s name literally means “Three-purpose”.
