The Glenelg River runs through the Lower Glenelg National Park close to the border of South Australia and Victoria, near the townships of Nelson (Vic) and Mount Gambier (SA). The river has carved a spectacular gorge up to 50 metres deep through limestone and erosion and the action of rainwater have created caves along its path including the remarkable Princess Margaret Rose Caves.
