Hermione R.I.P. 22 Mar 2006 - 22 Oct 2018

Our beautiful baby Hermione passed around 10:00 am Monday the 22nd of October. 12 years and seven months old (about 90 years old in human years)  Hermione had recently struggled with old age and Cushings Disease but had an undiagnosed lung problem where over just a few days she rapidly lost 75% of her lung capacity.

Hermione was our constant companion for all 12 years and seven months and slept each night at the end of our bed. Her passing has torn a hole in our hearts.

Sadly missed by her family Wayne, Andrea, Jacqueline, Eladio and Beatrice.

The world was snap frozen this morning but Hermione seemed oblivious and just ran and sniffed like any other day, and in bare feet (paws?)

Happy 8th Birthday Hermione

Hermione was born on a farm near Warwick Qld on March the 22nd 2006. Brindle in colour, Hermione spent her first year or so on Mount Tamboring Qld before moving to Sydney. She loves walking and meeting other dogs.

Happy 7th Birthday Hermione

Hermione is an English Staffordshire Bull Terrier. The Staffordshire Bull Terrier breed is stocky and very muscular, this breed is noted for the characteristics of intelligence, fearlessness and loyalty. This coupled with its affection for its friends, being protective of them and its territory, quietness and trustworthy stability, make it a great companion dog. Staffordshire Bull Terriers are friendly, enthusiastic and extremely affectionate towards humans and they express their affection through jumping up, nuzzling, licking and pawing.

Hermion's name comes from Greek mythology, Hermione was the only child of Helen to Troy. During the Trojan War Helens husband, Menelaus promised Hermione to Neoptolemus, the son of Achilles as a reward if he sacked Troy.
