Gunbower, Koondrook and Perricoota Forest

An overnight land based fishing trip to Barham, Gunbower, Koondrook and Perricoota Forest area behind Cohuna camping at Social Bend resulted in 10 Carp and one Perch. There is a cement boat ramp (see track directions here) and it's a popular area during Christmas and Easter. This ramp is one of two between Koondrook and Torrumbarry but the roads to them and are dry weather only for 2WD vehicles. So in between school holidays and winter these may be good Cod hunting destinations to take the boat.

Bountiful Garden

There is a fig tree in our front / side yard that we heavily pruned last winter that is just busting with fruit. We have been picking them every couple of days and my Mum even made a batch of fig jam. Here is some of the fruit.
