Purple Iris

The Iris is a genus of flowering plant that takes its name from the Greek word for a rainbow, referring to the wide variety of flower colours. In this case purple.

Spring Comes Early Part II

Wildflowers are popping up in a blanket in the understory of the bush surrounding Bendigo with Gold Dust Wattle, Grevillia, Daphney Heath, Fairy Wax Flower, Cyprus Daisy, Gorse Bitter Pea and Boronia bursting out across the landscape. I think we are in for a good spring. Here are some images of some of the wildflowers with a Magnolia and a Tulip from home at the bottom.

Phase I of the 'Wood Fired Pizza Oven Project' is underway with the slab and walls of the table to hold the oven almost complete. Just some mortar in some joints, rendering of the walls and formwork, reo and pouring of the table top. then an oven can be installed above with wood stored below.
