Spring Gully Walking Track

Near our house there is a walking track that Hermione is getting very used to a pleasant 4.5Km round trip on a well made path.

Blue and Tan

When reviewing images taken while attending the Melbourne International Boat & Lifestyle Show at Melbourne's Docklands precinct at the lower reaches of the Yarra River near the entrance to Port Phillip Bay, there emerged a definite Blue and Tan theme to the colours. See if you notice the stark contrast . . . BLUE

The Yarra River has been derogatively called "the river that runs upside down", a jibe at its high turbidity. The muddy brown colour is caused by the easily eroded clay soils of its catchment area. The water was clear at the time of the first European settlements, but intensive land clearing and development since the mid-19th century has resulted in the presence of microscopic clay particles. - Source Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yarra_River

The Goldfields Region

One of the towns in Victorias famous 'Golden Triangle' is Maryborough part of the Golfields region. Between 1851 and the late 1860s Victoria dominated the world's gold output with a total of 80 million ounces (250,000 Kilos) of gold. However, much of Victoria remains unexplored and it is likely that several multi million ounce deposits in the state remain undiscovered. The wealth in the gold rush of the 1800's resulted in many majestic buildings being built in towns throughout the district. Maryborough is one of those towns.
This is the railway station of the town of less than 8,000 people today.

In Bendigo - There are Strange Things in the Garden

A fairy is a type of creature, a form of spirit, often described as metaphysical, supernatural or preternatural. Fairies are human in appearance and have magical powers. The first reported photographs were are the Cottingley Fairies in England in 1917. But fairies are prone to kidnapping by humans so Fairies are mostly invisible and inaudible. Garden fairies come out at dawn kiss the flowers then they're gone. It is said that every time a child says, "I don't believe in fairies," there is a fairy somewhere that falls down dead.

As the seasons come and go, here's something you might like to know.
There are fairies everywhere, under bushes, in the air, playing games just like you play, singing through their busy day.
So listen, touch, and look around in the air and on the ground.
And if you watch all nature's things, you might just see a fairy's wing.

At first glance all looks normal?
