The Power to Choose is the Power of Change

2011 will see some dramatic changes for us and some less so for the blog. I have designed a new masthead and a blue colour theme. The photography format of my images and other content will remain the same with a mix of images, photography techniques and technical articles in-dispersed with external inks, politics, the odd product review and general interest stuff.

We are also moving states from New south Wales to rural Victoria. We have done this seven or eight times in the past having lived in Melbourne, Mildura Victoria, Brisbane and the Gold Coast in Queensland and Coffs Harbour and Sydney in New South Wales, and for many years in each. I have also been in completely different industries and had many and varied roles in them. I think I thrive on huge, dramatic change and while some people prefer the slow and steady route, we each should do what's right for us. For me the secret to a rich life is to strive to have more beginnings than endings.

I think you have to initiate change in your life when you feel it is simply time, time to re-connect with family and reduce stress. Stress is sometimes caused by being ‘here,’ but wanting to be ‘there'. The saddest summary of a life contains three descriptions: could have, might have, and should have. You were born original. Don't die a copy. (Thanks Tiny Buddha for the words of wisdom)
