Returning to fish Torrumbarry, see previous post HERE. I decided to try fishing above Torrumbarry Weir for the elusive Murray Cod. These are supposed to be reasonably plentiful here and winter is prime time for cod. There is a really good article on cod fishing HERE by Roger Dark from 2009. Not that I followed its recommendations very well. As it turns out not a strike, but it was great to be on the river.
Arriving before dawn on a heavily foggy winters morning, with no knowledge of this stretch of the river and not much visibility, but with depths of 8 to 12 metres in a healthy high flowing river is worth trolling for a couple of hours. You can view my track HERE.
